ANNUAL SPRING FOIL COACHING DEVELOPMENT
Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 8:42PM The Peterborough Fencing Club offers coaching courses designed to guide participants to successful completion of either Community Instructor or Aide Moniteur trained status in foil.
Coaches in training may elect to participate in one, in two, or in all three of the courses. Coaching development is supported through individualized learning plans based on informal assessments of fencing and coaching skills. In addition to instruction in foil coaching, each session gives the coach candidates opportunities to work with fencing students of various ages and skill in scheduled classes.
Instruction is provided by Dr. Hugh Munby, Prévôt D’Armes, Level 4 Foil coach, and Head Coach of the Queen’s University Fencing Club. Hugh is a Certified CIC and Aide Moniteur learning facilitator and evaluator.
Enrollment in each session is limited to 8 participants. The courses are sanctioned by the Ontario Fencing Association.
